Custom Email Domain
2 min read
Send notification emails from your own domain instead of madeforlaw.com.
Overview
By default, lead notification emails are sent from [email protected]. With a custom email domain, emails come from your domain (e.g., [email protected]), improving deliverability and brand consistency.
Custom email domain is a Pro plan feature. Upgrade to Pro to enable it.
Setup
Go to Email Domain Settings
Navigate to Settings > Email Domain in the portal.
Enter your domain
Type your domain name (e.g., yourfirm.com).
Add DNS records
You'll be given DNS records to add to your domain's DNS settings:
- SPF record — Authorizes Made For Law to send on your behalf
- DKIM record — Cryptographic signature for email authentication
- DMARC record — Policy for handling authentication failures
Add these records through your domain registrar (GoDaddy, Namecheap, Cloudflare, etc.).
Verify
Click Verify once you've added the DNS records. Verification typically completes within a few minutes, but DNS propagation can take up to 48 hours.
If verification fails, double-check that you copied the DNS records exactly as shown. Common issues include extra spaces, missing periods at the end of CNAME values, or conflicting existing records.
After Verification
Once verified, all notification emails will be sent from your custom domain. No additional configuration is needed.
