Zapier -> Email

Send follow-up emails from a Made For Law lead webhook.

Overview

This Zap sends an email whenever Made For Law sends a lead.created webhook to Zapier. Use this for internal intake alerts or simple lead follow-up. For external marketing emails, confirm your firm's compliance requirements first.

Setup

Create the Zapier trigger

  1. In Zapier, click Create Zap.
  2. Choose Webhooks by Zapier as the trigger app.
  3. Choose Catch Hook as the trigger event.
  4. Copy the webhook URL.
  5. Paste the URL in Made For Law under Settings > Integrations > Lead Routing.
  6. Send a test lead from Made For Law and confirm Zapier caught it.

Add an email action

Choose one of these email options:

  • Email by Zapier for simple emails from Zapier
  • Gmail -> Send Email to send from a Google Workspace account
  • Outlook -> Send Email to send from Microsoft 365

Compose the email

  • To: Use lead.email for lead follow-up, or use a static intake-team address for internal alerts.
  • Subject: "Your probate fee estimate from [Your Firm Name]"
  • Body: Include the estimate details and a call to action.

Example body:

Thank you for using our probate fee estimator. Based on your inputs, the estimated fees are approximately {{estimate.total}} {{estimate.currency}}.

This is an estimate only. Every estate is unique, and we would be happy to review your specific situation.

Activate

Test the email action, confirm the message is delivered, then publish the Zap.

⚠️

Be mindful of email regulations, consent, and firm policy. Include your firm's contact information and any required opt-out language in automated external emails.
